The southeast portion of the United States certainly doesn’t conjure up images of the wide-open spaces found out west, but the variety of geography within relatively short distances makes for a wide range of climate conditions. In this edition of our virtual travel series, our guide Steve Farrar will take us from the heights of the Smoky Mountains to the white sand beaches of the Virgin Islands. We will explore the swamps of the South Carolinian low country, dive the coral reefs off the Florida coast, and tour the largest brick fortress in the US as we visit six very different National Parks.
